Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 01/22/17

This week’s scripture comes from Acts:

Jesus Christ 2“The Lord’s will be done.”  (Acts 21:14)

Sometimes it can be difficult to know the will of God for our lives. We wonder what He would have us do, and when, and where? We’ve learned that the Lord’s timing is not the same as our timing. Even when we might receive a word from the Lord on what to do or what He wishes to happen, it often is not as soon as we might think or wish. Then again we can be occasionally surprised that things will happen fast, faster than we could have hoped or made them happen. Yet if we try to make the will of the Lord come to past before its time it will not turn out right. We find that we cannot open doors that He has not opened for us, nor can we close a door He wants open. Learning these things is wisdom if we also learn to wait upon the Lord, to pray and give thanks, to trust and be patient knowing that in His good time His will, will be done.

May the Lord bless you with patience and trust as you seek His will for your life.
