This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

I have put my trust in the Lord God  (Psalm 73:28b NKJV)

God is all and is in all, what more do we need? He is the Lord God Almighty; He provides for every need. The Lord is with us and has promised to never leave us. He owns the storehouses of heaven; there is no need that He cannot supply. If we lack anything that He wants us to have all we have to do is ask and He will give it to us. Through Christ Jesus He will pour out blessing, for our sufficiency in Christ is always enough and in Him we can find whatever we need for the Lord is faithful and true, and His love for us is merciful and everlasting. Let us trust in the Lord and bring our hearts before Him. Ask of Him and He will open His arms. Pray and He will hear. Believe in His promises and He will deliver them. Trust in Him.

May you trust in Him who loves you with an everlasting love.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.  (Psalm 127:1a)

The Lord gives us life, and He gives us the ability to build our life, to make a life from what He gives us. But if we want to have success in our life, if we want our endeavors to produce fruit, if we want to have a life worthy of living, we labor in vain if we build carelessly or unwisely, for the wise builder makes the Lord first in everything in life: First in us, first in family, first in work, first in ministry, first in whatever we would build in our life. If we are wise we go to the Lord first before we even begin planning. For the Lord should be first and He wants to be first in everything in our life. Let Him who gave us life be first in our life.

May the Lord bless you to seek His plans for your life.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;  my hope comes from him.

He alone is my rock and my salvation…”    (Psalm 62:5-6a)

May the Lord keep us ever mindful of where our hope comes from, for in Him alone can we find rest for our weary souls. In God, and in God alone, can we hope; He is our rock: unmovable, unshakable; He is our salvation, and there is no other, for no other loves us as He does. He sent His Son that we might find rest in Him when we are weary and burdened, for this is His promise, today, tomorrow, and always. Look to Him and He will give you rest.

May the Lord bless you with the hope that comes from Him, and find rest for your soul.

This week’s scripture is from 1 John:

See what great love the Father has lavished on us… (1 John 3:1)

God loves us with an everlasting love. He has blessed us with His love, for He sacrificed His precious son that we might be reconciled to Him and become His children. His love for us is boundless if we belong to Him, and we can never be beyond His love. There is no place we can go where His love cannot find us. There is nothing we can do that His love cannot redeem us. If we fail, He still loves us. If we sin, He still loves us, and He waits for us to repent and come back to Him. Oh how great is the Lord’s love toward us. Let us give thanks to the Lord for His great love, and praise Him who loves us with an everlasting love.

May you know the Lord’s great love for you this very day.

This week’s scripture is from Isaiah:

“The Lord will deliver us.”  (Isaiah 36:18)

Let us call upon the Lord, the Mighty One, for He is mighty to deliver. He has delivered us from sin and death. Let us worship Him and praise His holy name. He delivers us from the evil one and sets our feet upon solid ground. When the giants rise up in our lives He is mighty to deliver us. He makes a way where there is no way; let us rejoice and be glad. Let us stand strong in our faith in our deliverer, for He is the faithful one. He is never defeated and He always accomplishes what He says He will do and keeps all His promises. He will never abandon us or forsake us. He is our Lord and our deliverer. Let us praise Him.

May you trust in the Lord to deliver you.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

The Lord Almighty is with us…    (Psalm 46:7a)

The Lord is with us. The world may tremble and shake, our lives may be turned upside down, but He who saved us from sin and death is ever with us for we are His children and He cares for us. In every situation where we might find ourselves, He is already there. There is nothing that can happen nor anything that can ever befall us where the Lord is not there to be with us. He is ever interceding for the saints, for those who belong to Him, and the Lord Almighty hears His voice. His love covers us; His strength upholds us; He helps us in time of trouble. He calls upon us be still and know that He is the Lord God Almighty.

May the Lord bless you with His presence,

This week’s scripture is from Luke:

“Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance.” (Luke 3:8 KJV)

We know that God does not look at appearances, but He looks at the heart. He knows if a heart has turned towards Him. The evidence of a heart that has been brought to repentance is a heart that is changed. It is seen in a life that is changed. It is not a perfect life for none is perfect except the Lord, but it is a life that has turned from sin and is seeking God and His righteousness. It is a life that strives to be obedient to God and to follow His ways. It is a life transformed where the old life has passed away and new life has come. Our thinking has changed; the way we act has changed; the way we speak has changed. A repentant heart is not a heart of stone, but a heart of love, a heart turned to the Lord.

May the Lord bless you with a repentant heart.

This week’s scripture is from John:

“He must increase, but I must decrease”  (John 3:30).

As Christians, as children of the Most High God, our desire, our calling, is to become more like Christ, for it is He who justified us by His grace, and by His grace, and only by His grace, can we become more like Him. Let us fight to put the old man, the old nature, to death that we might die to ourselves that Christ might live in us. Let us strive to grow in Christ, to emulate Christ and to be Christ-like in all we do and say. Let us too say that we must become less that He can become more, and may God grant us the grace to become less that He may become more in our life. Less of me and more of thee, O God. Let it be so.

May the Lord bless you to be more like Him each day.

This week’s scripture is from John:

“If the world hates you, know that it hated me first.” (John 15:18 CEV)

If we belong to Christ, we should not be surprised that the world hates us. If we belonged to the world then the world would love us, but if we love Christ, the world will not love us for it did not love him. If He was persecuted, we too can expect to be persecuted. To be a follower of Christ is now derided, for if we oppose the world’s values and the world’s view, the world will not love us and it will fight against us for it hates what Christ is and what He taught; what He represents the world hates. For the world loves sin and rebellion; it loves what Christ does not love. It does not want to repent; it does not want to do the things that God says or believe the things that the Lord says to believe. But if we are His children, we must; we must believe; we must do; we must teach His word; we must insist that His way is the right way. We must.

May the Lord bless you to be in the world but not of the world.

This week’s scripture is from 1 John:

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.   (1 John 5:14)

The Lord will answer our prayers, for He is faithful to His word. However, sometimes we pray and we don’t get our prayer answered or it is not answered like we want it to be answered. This is not because the Lord didn’t hear us or because He answered wrongly. The Lord answers prayers that are according to His will. If we pray a prayer that doesn’t line up with His word or is not aligned with His will for us, then we will not get the answer we might want. The Lord always knows what’s best for us, and He will not give us what is not best for us. Pray according to His word and His will, and you will receive His best for you.

May the Lord bless you to pray in His will for your life.
