This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty heavens!

Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His surpassing greatness!”
    (Psalm 150:1-2)

How blessed we are to be children of the Most High God. Praise the Lord! How blessed we are to have received His saving grace. Praise God! How blessed we are that His Son, Jesus Christ, died for us, for our salvation. Praise the Lord God Almighty. How blessed we are to have forgiveness of our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Praise His Holy name. How blessed we are to have been set free from sin and death. Praise the Lord Most High. How blessed we are that the Son of God sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession. Praise the Lord! How blessed we are for His mercy and grace. Praise Him!

May the praises from your lips rise up to the Throne of Grace as you remember His mighty blessings.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior…”   (Psalm 68:19)

Praise God for He is faithful and true. When you feel blessed, praise the Lord. When you feel thankful, praise the Lord. When you feel happy, praise the Lord. And when you feel weary, praise the Lord. When you feel burdened, praise the Lord. When you feel stressed, praise the Lord. Open your heart, raise your voice and praise the Lord. When you feel safe, praise God. When you feel loved, praise God. And when you feel overwhelmed, praise God. When you feel weak, praise God. Whether good times or bad times, praise God. Every day and in every circumstance, praise God. Sing praise to Him who is ever with us.

May you lift up your voice and praise the Lord.

This week’s scripture is from 1 John:

See what great love the Father has lavished on us… (1 John 3:1)

God loves us with an everlasting love. He has blessed us with His love, for He sacrificed His precious son that we might be reconciled to Him and become His children. His love for us is boundless if we belong to Him, and we can never be beyond His love. There is no place we can go where His love cannot find us. There is nothing we can do that His love cannot redeem us. If we fail, He still loves us. If we sin, He still loves us, and He waits for us to repent and come back to Him. Oh how great is the Lord’s love toward us. Let us give thanks to the Lord for His great love, and praise Him who loves us with an everlasting love.

May you know the Lord’s great love for you this very day.

This week’s scripture is from Isaiah:

“The Lord will deliver us.”  (Isaiah 36:18)

Let us call upon the Lord, the Mighty One, for He is mighty to deliver. He has delivered us from sin and death. Let us worship Him and praise His holy name. He delivers us from the evil one and sets our feet upon solid ground. When the giants rise up in our lives He is mighty to deliver us. He makes a way where there is no way; let us rejoice and be glad. Let us stand strong in our faith in our deliverer, for He is the faithful one. He is never defeated and He always accomplishes what He says He will do and keeps all His promises. He will never abandon us or forsake us. He is our Lord and our deliverer. Let us praise Him.

May you trust in the Lord to deliver you.

Jesus triumphal entry2This week’s scripture is from Matthew:

“So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them. They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them. And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the [palm] trees and spread them on the road. Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’

      Hosanna in the highest!”    (Matthew 21:6-9)

Praise the Lord. Raise your voice! The Lord is come. Blessed be His name. Shout Hallelujah! He is come! He is come! He is come! The Prince of Peace, the Lord of Salvation, the Lord of Lords is come and we are blessed. Glory to God in the Highest! Sing, cry out! Praise His holy name. The Lord reigns! Here is the Lord, the Holy One, the Son of God. Rejoice you saints. Raise your voice; raise your hands; lift your hearts. Praise the Lord! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! Blessed be His name! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen.

May the blessing of the coming of the Lord fill your heart with joy.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

jesus_white“I lift up my eyes to the hills—

     where does my help come from?

 My help comes from the Lord,

     the Maker of heaven and earth.”               (Psalm 121:1-2)

There is only one we can turn to who can help us in every situation and every circumstance no matter how dire, no matter how troublesome. Where the things of man fail and the ways of the world hold no answers and little help, He is the one to whom we can and should always turn, for the Lord already knows about our troubles and He alone knows the way to salvation and freedom. The Lord alone is the One to whom we can go, for He is already with us and He will not abandon His own. So lift up your eyes to Him to whom you belong; look upon Him and worship Him and give Him praise. See that He is there for you.

May you remember to always turn your heart to the Lord who loves you.

This week’s scripture is from Deuteronomy:

Jesus is Risen“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”  (Deut. 6:5)

We know that God’s love is perfect, for God is love, and we know that our love is not perfect and we often struggle to love, especially that which is not lovely. We even struggle at times to love God with all our being for to bring our all to bear often seems beyond our ability.

Yet the Lord does not hold this against us, for He knows that we are but dust and that our days are like the flowers of the field, but He who first loved us calls us to Himself and bids us to love Him as Father and Lord. He is a patient and loving Father, and He wants us to love Him as He loves us, with all He is, and with all He has given us in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord bless you to love Him with all you are.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

jesus_white“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.

Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.       (Psalm 136:1,26)

Let us give thanks to the God of heaven, for He is good and all He does is good. His love is everlasting. It knows neither times or seasons; there is never a time when the Lord is without love. He does not forsake us or stop loving us even when we are disobedient. When we belong to the Lord, we can always depend on His love, for God is love. His love never gives up; His love never fails; His love sets us free, for He sent His beloved son to show us His great love for us, and He sacrificed Himself for us that we might be able to love God and be reconciled to Him. How great is the love of God for us. Let us give thanks for His love.

May the Lord of Heaven bless you with His love this very day.

This week’s scripture is from 2 Corinthians:

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”  (2 Cor. 5:7)Winding path

We are each on a journey through life and life’s challenges. The road is often rough and tough to travel, especially when faced with troubles of all kinds. Around one curve we hit hardships with relationships or work or finances; coming over a steep hill we suddenly drop into a valley of despair where sickness, disease, injury, or pain threaten to waylay us or run us off the road. We try not to feel discouraged, but the road can seem almost too hard to travel. We stop to look ahead, down the road, but we cannot see very far because it curves off or drops over another hill.

Yet we need not despair, for it is not by our faith that we travel the road of life. It is Christ Jesus who makes a path before us; it is He who makes a way where there seems to be no way. It is Christ who travels with us along the road, the One who never leaves us or forsakes us, but walks with us through every trouble and every hardship. It is He who leads us; it is Jesus who knows the way to our destination.  Let us not look at our circumstances, but let us look to Jesus. Let us keep our eyes on Him on whom our faith rests; let us keep looking to Him, and let us walk the road with Him, walking in faith.

May the Lord bless you with faith to look to Jesus in every circumstance.

This week’s scripture is from Proverbs:

Lords prayer -- Tissot“Now therefore, listen to me, my children;
Pay attention to the words of my mouth:
Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways…”
 (Proverbs 7:24-25a)

We strive to follow the Lord each day for we are His children; we love the Lord for He sacrificed Himself for us that we might have salvation in His name, that we might be redeemed unto eternal life. We read and study the scriptures, and we pray. Yet the Lord calls upon us not to strive, but to listen. He does not call us to be busy, but to listen, to hear Him. Do we listen when we read His word? Do we only speak or do we listen when we pray?  To hear Him we must be still. Quiet yourself in His presence, and listen. Don’t follow the dictates of your heart but follow His. Lean not on your thoughts. Listen to Him.

May the Lord bless you as you take the time to listen to Him, to hear His heart for you.
