This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.”   (Acts 13:38)

He came that we might know Him; He sacrificed himself and bled and died that we might be forgiven for our sins and receive eternal life. We know that if we are faithful to confess our sins He will forgive us. Let us not hold back, but let us come humbly before the Lord and freely confess our sins. Let us remember to forgive those who have wronged us for He forgives us in the same measure as we forgive those who have sinned against us. If Jesus forgave those who killed him who are we to not forgive those who have wronged us? We must forgive. And let us not neglect to forgive ourselves for our sins as well, for who are we to not forgive ourselves for our wrongs when the Lord has forgiven us? Forgive and be forgiven. Trust in Him.

May you be blessed by the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy.

This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“…they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day…” (Acts 17:11)

How important it is to read the Word of God, to know the Word of God, to study the Word of God, for the Lord speaks to us through His word. We want God to speak to us; we want God to hear us. We want to hear God when we pray and when we have tough questions, and questions only He can answer. When we know His word, then He can speak to us through His word, for when we pray He will bring to mind His word; He will bring to mind a passage or a story or a parable or a person or remind us what Jesus said, and we will have our answer. We will know what we should do or what is the right path for us. He will give us answers; He will give us wisdom and hope, grace and peace. He will speak through His word to us. So let us be reminded to indulge ourselves in the Word of God, to read the living word and get life from it.

May the Lord bless you to read His word daily and be blessed by it.

Happy Easter!  This week’s scripture is from Matthew:

But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, [just] as He said.”           (Matthew 28:5-6)

He is risen, He is risen, He is risen! Thank God, thank God, thank God Almighty. Jesus Christ is alive forevermore. He sacrificed Himself that we might be reconciled to God our Father, that we might know Him and the mercy of His grace. He is the bread of life, the Holy One, the Son of God; He sealed the new covenant in His blood that we might have the forgiveness of our sins, that we might have salvation and eternal life. Thank you Lord Jesus. How blessed we are to know His love and the beauty of His grace.

May the blessings of the Lord’s sacrifice strengthen you each day.

This week’s scripture is from Mark:

“Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.  And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the [palm] trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”                  (Mark 11:7-10 NKJV)

Praise the Lord. Raise your voice! The Lord is come. Blessed be His name. Shout Hallelujah! He is come! He is come! He is come! The Prince of Peace, the Lord of Salvation, the Lord of Lords is come and we are blessed. Glory to God in the Highest! Sing, cry out! Praise His holy name. The Lord reigns! Here is the Lord, the Holy One, the Son of God. Rejoice you saints. Raise your voice; raise your hands; lift your hearts. Praise the Lord! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! Blessed be His name! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen.

May the blessing of the coming of the Lord fill your heart with joy.

This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“…there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.”   (Acts 10:36b NLT)

Our Lord sacrificed himself that we might be reconciled to God and know the peace that passes all understanding, for He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and there is none like Him, for He is Lord of all the earth and all that is in it, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, for His name is the name that is above every name, holy and righteous is His name, and at His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

May the Lord bless you with the peace only He can give.

This week’s scripture is from Matthew:

bible-john-closeup-2“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”  (Matt. 24:11)

In these days we have seen those who have left the Word of God to go chasing after the doctrines of men or the doctrines of demons, those who have taken it upon themselves to say and to teach that the Word of God does not say what the Word of God says, who have corrupted the Word to fit the times we live in, to redefine what God says is true and acceptable. Let us not be one of those swayed by the words of men, but let us stand true to His Word and the truth that is eternal. Let us stay centered on Christ our Lord, for He is the author and finisher of our faith; He is the Word made flesh, the Holy One of God.

May the Lord bless you to stay in the truth of His word.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

jesus_white“The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them…”    (Psalm 37:39-40a)

God sees things from an eternal perspective and He does not change His laws or ways. When the nation kept sinning and breaking God’s laws, and God’s patience was running out, He would punish His people, Israel, by saddling them with an evil king who had little regard for God and who would pervert the laws and ways of God. If the people did not learn and repent of their sins, then that king would be followed by another one just as bad, and sin and corruption would continue. Yet to those who belonged to Him, God remained true. Though they too had to suffer the hardships brought by evil, those who trusted in Him, God stood beside. Those who had faith, God delivered. Let us have faith in Him to whom we belong.

May the Lord bless you to stand strong in Him in these days.

This week’s scripture is from Philippians:

Jesus risen“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”     (Phil. 1:6)

Thank the Lord for His salvation; thank Him that we can come to Him each day and bow before Him to seek His face and ask forgiveness when we stumble or fall. How frustrating it can be, though we try our best to be righteous, to be shown our shortcomings and spiritual imperfections. Yet the Lord who loves us, the one who began a good work in us, is not finished with us and He will continue His work in us until the day that Christ returns. Let us not then lose heart or turn away, but let us run to Him who knows us better than we know ourselves and still loves us; let us turn to Him who forgives our shortcomings and who is working to perfect us in Christ. Let us praise Him and thank Him; let us worship and bow down.

May the Lord bless you with His mercy and grace.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

jesus_white“I lift up my eyes to the hills—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.”               (Psalm 121:1-2)

There is only one we can turn to who can help us in every situation and every circumstance no matter how dire, no matter how troublesome. Where the things of man fail and the ways of the world hold no answers and little help, He is the one to whom we can and should always turn, for the Lord already knows about our troubles and He alone knows the way to salvation and freedom. The Lord alone is the One to whom we can go, for He is already with us and He will not abandon His own. So lift up your eyes to Him to whom you belong; look upon Him and worship Him and give Him praise. See that He is there for you.

May you remember to always turn your heart to the Lord who loves you.

This week’s scripture is from Matthew:

Jesus Christ -- Heinrich Hofmann“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”   (Matt. 28:20b)

The Lord is with us when things are good, and the Lord is with us when things are not so good. Whether we succeed or fail, whether we rise or fall, whether we are in good health or suffering, whether we are whole or broken, whether we are living or dying, the Lord is with us; He will never leaves us. When we belong to the Lord there is never a time when He is not with us, for there is nothing in this world, nothing in this life, or in the next, that can separate us from God. For we are firmly in the Father’s grip and He will never let us go, for we are His beloved children and God is always good, for He loves us till the very end.

May you always know that the Lord loves you and is with you.
