This week’s scripture is from Mark:

“Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.  And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the [palm] trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”                  (Mark 11:7-10 NKJV)

Praise the Lord. Raise your voice! The Lord is come. Blessed be His name. Shout Hallelujah! He is come! He is come! He is come! The Prince of Peace, the Lord of Salvation, the Lord of Lords is come and we are blessed. Glory to God in the Highest! Sing, cry out! Praise His holy name. The Lord reigns! Here is the Lord, the Holy One, the Son of God. Rejoice you saints. Raise your voice; raise your hands; lift your hearts. Praise the Lord! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! Blessed be His name! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen.

May the blessing of the coming of the Lord fill your heart with joy.

This week’s scripture is from Proverbs:

“I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.”   (Proverbs 8:17 ESV)

When we are in love, we will pursue and seek out the one we love. We are tireless in our efforts to get close to them, to get to know them, to spend time with them, and to just be with them. Our Lord wants us to know Him; He wishes to be sought after by us and to be found by us. Let us not neglect to seek after the Lord; let us keep in the Word; let us keep in prayer; let us keep in fellowship with other believers; let us keep in worship; let us keep in thanksgiving; let us keep coming into His presence and seeking His face. Let us each day put aside the busyness of life for a time and spend that time with our Lord. Let us not fail to seek Him who loves us, who gave Himself for us, but let us remember to draw near to Him.

May the Lord bless you to know Him even more.

This week’s scripture is from 2 Corinthians:

“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself…”  (2 Cor. 5:18-19 NRSV)

He who loves us has redeemed us. He has paid the price that we could not pay; He made the sacrifice that we could not make; He laid down His life for our life. Though we were sinners and undeserving of His great love, we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, for in Christ we are reconciled to the Almighty, our sins are forgiven and not held against us. We are restored to be children of the Most High God. We are lifted up that we might come into His presence with open hearts and contrite spirits; that we might bow down and worship Him who gave His only begotten son that we might know the power and beauty of His mercy and grace; that we might then know Him who loves us with an everlasting love.

May the Lord bless you through Christ again this day.

This week’s scripture is from Proverbs:
“…the Lord disciplines those he loves… (Proverbs 3:12a)

If we belong to the Lord, we trust Him to watch over us and to take care of us, for He promises to take up our burdens, to provide for us, to heal us, and to deliver us from temptations and evil. Like a loving father He leads and guides us, if we let Him, if we will submit to the discipline of discipleship. If we truly wish to learn of the Lord and learn from Him, we must give ourselves completely into His hands, no holding back, no holding back. Discipline is not always pleasant, but let us exercise our faith believing that He who loves us always wants what is best for us and He will disciple us to the extent that we trust and obey Him. Let us therefore agree to the Lord’s discipleship and not pull back but embrace Him whose love is eternal.

May the Lord bless you with His loving discipline.

This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“…there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.”   (Acts 10:36b NLT)

Our Lord sacrificed himself that we might be reconciled to God and know the peace that passes all understanding, for He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings, and there is none like Him, for He is Lord of all the earth and all that is in it, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, for His name is the name that is above every name, holy and righteous is His name, and at His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

May the Lord bless you with the peace only He can give.

This week’s scripture is from Isaiah:

jesus_white“Let him trust in the name of the Lord, And rely upon his God.”  (Isaiah 50:10 NKJV)

Let us trust in the one who called us; the one to whom we belong, for He is the one who knows us, the one who made us, for He saw us in the secret place before we were born. He saw the moment we came to be; He knitted us together in our mother’s womb. He knows the number of our days; He knows every breath we will take; He knows us better than we know ourselves; He knows that which is good and that which is not, and yet He loves us with an everlasting love. What does He not know? What can He not do? Let us trust in the Lord; let us come before Him in prayer, for He cares for us. Let us ever trust in the Lord.

May the Lord bless you to put your trust in Him.

This week’s scripture is from 1 Chronicles:

Jesus Christ -- Heinrich Hofmann“Now set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God.”   (1 Chron. 22:19 NKJV)

Our Lord is with us; He promises to never leave us or forsake us. When we call upon Him he is there; when we raise our voice in praise, He is there; when we bow down in prayer, He is there; when we come before Him in times of trouble, He is there. Even when He seems to be silent, He is there; His word is there for us to read, to nourish us and to sustain us; His promises are always “Yes” and “Amen.”

When we seek Him with all our heart and soul, with all our mind and strength, He is there. Even if we are weak or weary, as long as we are willing, He is there, for if we seek Him we will find Him. Let us therefore seek Him earnestly and faithfully. Let us go to Him each day and seek His face and ask His favor. Let us set our hearts and our minds upon Him, for He will pour His grace and mercy upon all who truly seek Him.

May the desire to seek the Lord burn in your heart.

This week’s scripture is from Luke:

SONY DSC“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”   (Luke 11:28 ESV)

If we have heard the word of God, if it has been spoken into our life, we are blessed. If we have heard the word of God and understood it, if we have responded to the word of God and have given ourselves to Him, then we are greatly blessed. If we have come to know Him who is the living Word, who was the Word in the beginning, who was the Word with God and the Word who is God, then we are blessed beyond measure.

Therefore, let us not neglect to spend time with the Word and in the Word, for in His Word are the words of life: words to live by, words of wisdom, words of His love, words that lead to eternal life. Let us each day take up His word and place it in our heart; let us take up His word and speak it into the world. Let us keep His word by giving it away; let us be obedient to speak the Good News of Jesus Christ.

May the Lord bless you to be true to His word.

This week’s scripture is from Titus:

Jesus risen“He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”  (Titus 3:5b-7)

Let us not hold back, but let us be generous with others as the Lord has been with us. Let us not hesitate to share the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ with others; let us not be slack in praising the Lord and calling on His name. Let us be bold to proclaim His life and His salvation into this dying world. Let us be generous with our time for others and let us be generous with our prayers and blessings to those whom the Lord brings to mind. Let us not keep the Lord’s love, but let us give it away generously and at every opportunity. Let us hold nothing back the Lord has given, but let His love pour out of us onto others.

May the Lord fill your heart to overflow onto others.

This week’s scripture is from Matthew:

jesus-and-woman-at-the-well-copping“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”    (Matt. 28:19 NKJV)

We know the Lord gave His disciples a great commission to take His word and His teachings, and the Good News, into all the world, and to make more disciples, but most of us think of the harvest field as being overseas, in foreign lands, where His special disciples go, where missionaries go, where most of us never go and never will go. Yet this is not true, especially today, for the borders that need to be crossed in our time are not necessarily further than our backyard, across the fence to our neighbor, or into the next office or cubicle where we work. The harvest field is all around us, most everywhere we go. Let us be ever mindful to reach out wherever we are to those around us, for the harvest is ripe and workers are few.

May the Lord bless you to see, and to share the Good News wherever you are.
