This week’s scripture is from the Psalms:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the Lord delivers him out of them all”
 (Psalm 34:19 NKJV).

When the storms of life are breaking over us and a sea of trouble has been loosed in the world, it is good to remember who is our strength and our salvation. When affliction comes against us and dark clouds have gathered, let us remember He who is faithful, He who holds our lives in His loving hands. When we are tossed by the winds of illness or trouble or persecution, or set upon by the enemy of our souls, let us remember to call upon the Lord who delivers us out of all our afflictions and calms our fears. Let us not fail to praise Him and to pray, for His love for us is never-ending. Praise the Lord, for He cares for you.

May the Lord bless you and deliver you from fear and affliction.

This week’s scripture is from the Psalms:

“O LORD God Almighty, who is like you?
You are mighty, O LORD, and your faithfulness surrounds you.

You rule over the surging sea;
when its waves mount up, you still them.”
(Psalm 89:8-9)

In this troubled time, let us remember that the Lord is our strength. He is greater than anything that can come against us, for He is the Father of all mercies, the God of all comfort, and in Him can we trust, for He is ever faithful and true. When our lives are troubled and waves are crashing over our shores, it is good to remember who it is that can still the waters and return us to peace. God Almighty is His name, and in Him can we find peace, for He is ever with us, and before Him fear must flee and the burdens of our heart bow down. In His love He sent His son, so turn your eyes upon Jesus and call upon the name of the Lord, for He ever cares for you and He will watch over you and comfort you. Turn to Him and let His peace surround you. Give yourself into His loving embrace. Rest in Him and He will give you peace.

God bless you in these days, for His love for you is mighty.

This week’s scripture is from 2 Timothy:

“For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”     (2 Tim 1:7 WEB).

If we have come to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, if we belong to Him who has redeemed us for all eternity by His blood, death, and resurrection, we are not to harbor a spirit of fear for we have received the Holy Spirit of God Almighty, the spirit of power, love, and self-control. For the Lord says we are to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us; He will take up our burdens for us, and in Him we are to be anxious for nothing. The Lord said to His followers, “Do not be afraid.” He is come that we not live in fear but that we trust in Him and in the righteousness and truth of His word, for He holds us in the palm of His hand and nothing in this world can snatch us away. Rest in Lord. Rest in His love. Rest and be at peace.

May the Spirit of the Lord drive out fear and give you peace.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“God looks down from heaven
on the children of man
to see if there are any who understand,
who seek after God.”
   (Psalm 53:2 ESV)

It is God’s intent that we seek after Him, for His word says to seek Him first, and His kingdom and His righteousness, and all we need will be given to us. We are to seek and continue seeking; we are to knock and keep knocking. The Lord awards our persistence by letting us enter in to His presence and rewarding us with all the blessings He has for us. It is not for His sake that He calls to us to come to Him, but for ours. It is His desire to be the Lord of our lives in every way and in every aspect, for there is no better place for us to be but with the Lord. Let us remember to seek after Him, to pursue the One who loves us, for He wants to be found; He wants to be known; He wants his sons and daughters by His side. Let us earnestly seek to worship Him, to pursue relationship with our Lord, and to enter in to His presence.

May your heart yearn every day for the fellowship of the Lord who loves you.

This week’s scripture is from Colossians:

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Col. 1:13-14)

The Lord has redeemed us from all of our sins, all of the sins we committed before we first believed and all sins since, according to our repentance. Jesus took upon Himself all the sin that ever was and ever would be, and by His sacrifice, by His blood, He brought us into redemption and delivered us from the power of the enemy of our souls. We now live in the light of the Son of God, the Holy One, and if we are faithful to confess our sins and repent, then He is faithful to forgive us, for He shed His blood and died once and for all for everyone who will believe and come into the Light. All who will come are redeemed by His blood by His mercy and His grace. So let us humble ourselves before the Lord and confess our trespasses that we might continue in His love and in the power of His redemption and forgiveness.

May you know the blessing of the Lord and the redeeming power of His blood.
