This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17)

Let the people of God be ready. Let those who belong to the Lord prepare themselves for the coming of the Lord, for in these last days the Lord will pour out His Spirit over every people and every land as He calls forth His own. He will place prophesy in the mouths of the sons and daughters on whom He pours His wonder and His grace. Not the prophecies of men, but the prophecies of the Lord God Almighty. Prophecies that speak of the mighty truth and love of God.

He will send the young men visions, visions of the Lord God Almighty, visions of His son Jesus Christ, and He will call the young men and women forth. And in those days the old men will dream dreams, but not the dreams of old men. Theirs will be the dreams that God gives, dreams that come from heaven, dreams of the wonder and the glory and the goodness of God, dreams from the mind and heart of God. Dreams of eternity, living in God’s pure love. Let us prepare ourselves, beloved, for the Lord is preparing to send forth His Mighty Spirit. Praise God.

May you prepare your heart for the Lord for the days to come.

This week’s scriptures are from John:

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”    (John 8:31b-32)

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.    (John 8:36)

Free. Free. Free. How good it is to be free in Christ, to know the freedom that comes with being a child of God, to know that your sins are forgiven and you have the promise of eternal life with Him. He came full of grace and truth, and that truth sets us free. In this world there are chains, but Jesus, the very Son of God, came, suffered, died, and rose again that we might know Him and the power of His love. We are His disciples, believers in His gospel, followers of His word, travelers in the Way, children of His mercy and grace, captives set free. What a blessing! Let us not fail to follow His teachings, to act on His word, to share the gospel, and to love as He has loved us.

May you remain in Jesus Christ, and may the truth of the Word continue to set you free.

This week’s scripture is from Jeremiah:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”    (Jeremiah 29:11)

Life does not always go as planned. Regardless of how carefully we plan, life can take unexpected turns. Our plans may not work out. We might find ourselves at a dead-end, or stuck at a crossroads, and not know what to do. We might feel lost or hopeless, but the Lord knows what to do; He always knows, and His plans never fail. If we belong to Him, we should give our lives into His hands, and our plans for our life should be His plans for our life, for God’s plans are always for whatever is best for us, whatever will help us and draw us closer to Him, whatever will make us more like Christ. For God is good and all He does is good. Let us remember to always seek Him to learn His plans for our life. Let us pray and read His word and seek His face, for He is our provision, and in Him is our hope and our future, in Christ our Lord.

May you be open to the Lord’s leading in your life and for your life.

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.”
(Psalm 145:13b)

Thank God that He is loving and faithful. Hold tight to God’s promises. Believe the promises of His Word, for they all find their fulfillment in Christ our Lord. For the Lord is for us and not against us. If He has said He will answer your prayer, then believe He will answer your prayer; if He has said He has forgiven, then believe He has forgiven; if He has promised salvation, then believe in your salvation; if He has promised healing, then believe He will heal; if you are still waiting on God’s promises, then believe He will do what He has promised. Believe the promises found in God’s Word for He is ever faithful and He never fails, for His love never fails. Remember to thank God for His love and faithfulness. Praise Him, and give thanks.

May the Lord’s love and faithfulness be a blessing in your life.
