Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 07/29/18

July 30, 2018

This week’s scripture is from Psalms:

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.”
 (Psalm 121:1-2)

There is only one we can turn to who can help us in every situation and every circumstance no matter how bad, no matter how troublesome. Where the things of man fail and the ways of the world hold no answers and little help, He is the one to whom we can and should always turn, for the Lord already knows about our troubles and He alone knows the way to salvation and freedom. The Lord alone is the One to whom we can go, for He is already with us and He will not abandon His own. So lift up your eyes to Him to whom you belong; look upon Him and worship Him and give Him praise. See that He is there for you.

May you remember to always turn your heart to the Lord who loves you.

This week’s scripture is from Lamentations:

“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him…”   (Lam. 3:25)

We know that the Lord is good and all that He does is good, especially to those who belong to Him, those whose hope is in the Lord, in the beauty of His grace, in the majesty of His mercy, in the depth of His mighty love, in the splendor of His salvation, in the power of His blood, death, and resurrection. Let us seek earnestly the One who loves us with an everlasting love; let us open our eyes to His living word; let us open our hearts to trust in Him, and let us learn to fill our mouths with our praises and with our prayers, to Him, for those who seek Him will find Him and their hope will rest in the Lord. Praise the Lord.

May the Lord bless you with His goodness as you seek after Him.

This week’s scriptures come from Psalms:

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.”
(Psalms 118:29 NKJV)

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”
(Psalms 34:8 NKJV)

God is good; God is good; God is good! Let us never forget the goodness of God. He blesses us and sheds His mercy and grace upon us every day in every circumstance. Let us remember to call on His name, for we can always trust in Him who loves us and gave His Son for us. Let us give thanks to the Lord and throw ourselves upon His mercy and goodness, for He cares for us and means to bless us. How good is God that His mercy and love are never-ending. Praise His holy name.

May the Lord bless you with His mercy and goodness as you call upon His name.

This week’s scripture is from Acts:

“It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth …

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”   (Acts 4:10,12)

Let us proclaim the truth to a dying world: It is in His name and by His name that we live and have our being, in Christ and in Christ alone. For the word of God says that Jesus Christ is Lord and there is no other, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, for at His name every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen.

May the Lord give you grace to boldly proclaim His name.

This week’s scripture is from Isaiah:

“‘…with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,’ says the LORD your Redeemer.”   (Isaiah 54:8b)

Who is like the Lord? His mercies never end. No matter our circumstances, no matter the challenges before us, no matter what we’ve done or what has been done to us, no matter what arises or what falls, the Lord’s kindness to us through Jesus Christ is always there; His compassion made the way for our redemption in Him, and through Him to eternal life. How kind is our Lord, how loving. What a comfort.

May the Lord bless you this day with His kindness and His compassion.
