This week’s scripture is from Mark:

“Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.  And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the [palm] trees and spread them on the road. Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
Blessed is the kingdom of our father David
That comes in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!”
(Mark 11:7-10)

Praise the Lord. Raise your voice! The Lord is come. Blessed be His name. Shout Hallelujah! He is come! He is come! He is come! The Prince of Peace, the Lord of Salvation, the Lord of Lords is come and we are blessed. Glory to God in the Highest! Sing, cry out! Praise His holy name. The Lord reigns! Here is the Lord, the Holy One, the Son of God. Rejoice you saints. Raise your voice; raise your hands; lift your hearts. Praise the Lord! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! The Lord is come! Blessed be His name! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Amen.

May the blessing of the coming of the Lord fill your heart with joy.

This week’s scripture is from 1 Chronicles:

Look to the LORD and his strength;
seek his face always.

Remember the wonders he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced…
   (1 Chron. 16:11-12)

God is great; God is good. The world is troubled; the trials of life come against us, but God is faithful. When we are weak, He is strong. When we cry out, He is there. Let us look to the Lord and remember that our God is a miracle-working God. When there is no way, He makes a way. He moves and miracles happen; the Word is spoken and bodies are healed, souls are delivered, those in bondage are set free. Jesus came that we might know Him and blessings of His love. He pours out His grace upon us, for He loves us. We are witnesses to the wonders of His mercy and love, that we might proclaim Him.

Seek the Lord and may the miracles of God’s blessings be upon you this day.

This week’s scripture is from Jeremiah:

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose hope is the LORD.”
  (Jeremiah 17:7)

Blessing follows belief, for the Lord pours out His blessings on those who believe in Him and trust in His holy name. In every situation the Lord is our hope and our salvation. Call on His name and He will answer; pray and He will hear; seek Him first and He will provide for every need. Never does the Lord leave His children forsaken; those who trust in Him shall not want; though hardship or trouble arise all around us, He never leaves us as orphans, for we are the children of the King of Glory, and our hope, our confidence, is in Him who gave Himself for us. Praise be to the Lord God Almighty and to Jesus Christ His son and to the Holy Spirit, the spirit of God. Thank you, O Lord. Let us praise His holy name.

May the Lord pour out His blessings and mercies upon you as you trust in Him.

This week’s scripture is from Hebrews:

“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.”   (Hebrews 2:1)

It is so easy to let the cares of this world draw us away from where our attention should be. The concerns, the busyness, the fullness of life get between us and God. Soon we are neglecting our daily devotions, our Bible reading slips, our worship drops off, our pray life becomes sporadic; we are not spending time with our Lord. We have drifted away. Yet He has not drifted away from us; He never leaves us nor will He ever forsake us. He is still right where He was, waiting for us. Let us remember who we belong to and who He is: the Son of the Most High God, the Righteous One, the Anointed One, the Holy One. Let us not neglect the One who loves us and gave His life for us. Let us hold tight to Him and draw near, once again.

May the Lord bless you to keep close to Him.
