Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 06/22/14

This week’s scripture is from Isaiah:

Jesus risen“Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;     therefore he will rise up to show you compassion…

Blessed are all who wait for him!”            (Isaiah 30:18)

How difficult it can be to wait upon the Lord, for the Lord’s timing is not our timing, and our patience is easily strained. When we are questioning which way to turn or which way to go, and we have sought the Lord for guidance and direction, and we have faithfully prayed again and again for an answer, it is hard to when we receive only silence or when He says, “Wait.”

Yet He is not slow in providing what is right for us; it is our impatience that frustrates our soul. The Lord always knows what is best for us; He always knows when we should receive and when we should wait. He has every intention of showing us His love and compassion if we will only exercise our faith and wait, assured of the blessing that He has for us.

May the Lord bless you with faith and patience to wait for His blessings for you.
