Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 04/06/14

This week’s scripture is from Luke:

Jesus breaking bread -- Matthias Stom“And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”   (Luke 22:19)

He is the only one who deserves our worship, honor, and praise. He is the one who was broken for us, who took our punishment upon Himself, who bled for us, who died for us, that we might be forgiven and reconciled to God, our Father. Jesus willing sacrificed Himself that we might be justified before God and receive eternal life, that we might be cleansed in His blood, that we might be made new, a new creation in Christ. Let us honor Him with remembrance; let us give Him thanks. Let us commune together and with Him for the forgiveness of our sins, and in thanksgiving and in remembrance of what He has done for us.

May you remember the sacrifice He made for you and give Him praise.
