Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 04/11/10

This week’s scripture is from Luke:

“Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail…”             (Luke 22:31-32a)

In the Greek the “you” is plural, and in these days it seems that many are suffering trials of many kinds, trials to test the faith of the saints. Illnesses, financial hardships, spiritual challenges, and temptations have come against us and against those we minister to. Yet Jesus tells us that he is interceding for us, that Christ himself has prayed for us to strengthen us in faith. Let us rise up in faith and thank our Lord and our God for such a wonderful savior, for He is our strength and our provision. Let us praise Him.

As you pray may the Lord God Almighty strengthen you in faith against all the attacks of the enemy.
