Strengthen and Encourage the Brethren 02/21/10

February 22, 2010

This week’s scripture is from Jeremiah:

“You shall be My people,
And I will be your God.”
(Jeremiah 30:22)

What a wonderful promise we have from our Lord. God Almighty, our Creator and Heavenly Father, whose word is true and can never be broken, and which always comes to past, says that we shall be His people and He will be our God, and so we are. How can we not rejoice at such a promise? No matter what is happening in the world or in our lives, we have the promise of God that He is with us; we are His. Hallelujah!

May the promise of God bless you, and strengthen and encourage you.

This week’s scripture is from 1 John:

“God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”  (1 John 4:16b)

No greater love is there than the love that God the Father has for those who live in His love. Rejoice and thank God for His abiding love, for by His love we are all alive in Christ Jesus, and He lives in us by His love. Pray that we do all we do in love, as the Lord does, and by that love it will come to abide in others.

May the Lord’s love abide in you richly and overflow to all those He puts in your path.

This week’s scripture is from Jeremiah:

“His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones.

I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot”   (Jeremiah 20:9b)

Let the Word of God burn in your breast; may the breath of God fan the flames. Call on the Holy Spirit to ignite your passion for Christ and let the fire burn, then may God grant you the grace to release the fire of His Word into those he puts before you that it may ignite a flame in them that will burn unto eternity. Hallelujah, Lord God Almighty.

May the flame of the Word burn brightly within you this day and each day.

This week’s scripture is from 1 Corinthians:

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”      (1 Cor. 16:13-14).

In these days let us stand firm and remember our strength comes from the Lord. Watchmen are privileged to stand in gap for those the Lord loves, yet the battle belongs to the Lord. No matter what may come against us, the Lord will uphold us though faith, and in His love the victory is won. Praise the Lord for His everlasting love towards us.

May everything you do be done in love just as all the Lord does for you is done in love.
